22 months

Liam asks for "Help" now; which is a big help over his whining or crying for something.  Now he actually will ask for help!  He loves to run and jump everywhere.  He loves to do cheers by clinking cups proceeded by a drink and then an "ahh".  He's getting in his canines so his hands are constantly in his mouth and he's drooling like crazy.  He is in love with the Alphabet and numbers!  He can name every letter and can for the most part say what sound each of them make.  The counting to ten was really good until he recently started forgetting 7.  He also knows 11, 12, and 13.  all the others after 13 sound like 13 so we don't really think he knows them yet.  His colors have gotten really good too but he gets them mixed up sometimes.  We are so impressed with or little man!  He's growing up so fast!

We've just been enjoying this time with Liam before our little girl arrives.  I have been emotional when I think of us no longer being a family of 3.  I am super excited to be expanding our family.  I worry about Liam not being the only one, and splitting our attention.  However, I will cherish these last two years (almost) that have been spent as a family of 3 and I look forward to the years to come with our ever growing family.

We turned Liam's carseat around!, his legs
were just too long :-)

Baby#2 Shower

My amazing friends here in Boston wanted to throw us babyshower in honor of our new little one arriving soon.  It was at our house and we had a great time visiting with friends and crafting.

21 Months

To say Liam's 21 months of life have been a blessing is an understatement. I know I say this many times too. It is just amazing to watch him grow and to be a part of his life. He is full of energy and life.

He also has his meltdowns, throws things, kicks, and has the typical toddler hard time with sharing. I feel for him. It's a hard time in his life where there are lots of rules and things that he isn't suppose to do and yet it so hard to understand them and the reasons. Sometimes I think it's even harder for us parents who are trying to find a way to teach our children these things. Even more so when we feel the pressure from other parents. We get looks when our child misbehaves, as if he is the only toddler to act this way. Sometimes we feel this way too, wondering if its true. With each wonderful new stage in our child's life, and all its blessings, come challenges too. Kevin and I are learning constantly and will continue learn with each child as everyone is different. Every struggle can be difficult and exhausting but there is always a light at the end if the tunnel. It may be a smile, watching him jump and the corresponding "jump jump", watching him play with his trains, drawing, and I love struggle time and watching him sleep peacefully. It is all worth it.

Children are such a blessing and I love that I am a mom. Kevin and I truly feel that we are so very lucky to have this little man in our lives and to be able to call him our son. We love you Liam, so very, very much.

Texas Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving Liam and I went down to Texas.  With a due date of Jan 12th there was no way we would be going down for Christmas.  Liam and I left the week before Thanksgiving and Kevin came down the day before Thanksgiving.

Playing with Nana and every day Liam would feed the animals, he loved it!!!

Jumping with Papa on Skype

The weekend I flew down I drove down to Alvin with my mom and dad to visit with my moms family.  Liam loved jumping on the trampoline, shooting hoops with Pawpaw, having Thanksgiving celebration, sliding down the inflatable slide, and bouncing in the bounce house with his cousins.

Happy Babywearing!
